The ring terminals are categorized based on the electrical wire cross-sectional area (electric square) and corresponding American Wire Gauge (AWG) sizes, with maximum current ratings specified for each category:
- 95–120 mm² (AWG 3/0) with a max current of 255A
- 70–95 mm² (AWG 2/0) with a max current of 235A
- 50–70 mm² (AWG 1/0) with a max current of 215A
- 120–150 mm² (AWG 4/0) with a max current of 300A
Dimensional Data and Bolt Compatibility
The terminals are specified with dimensions including bolt hole diameter (dφ), outer diameter (Dφ), length (L), width (B), flange (F), and thickness (E). These dimensions vary according to the bolt size and terminal model number. The bolt sizes correspond to American bolt numbers such as 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", 11/16", and 3/4".
Examples of terminal models and dimensions include:
- R60 Series (95–120 mm²): Bolt sizes from 1/4" to 3/4", length around 49.7 mm, width 22.0 or 32.0 mm, with bolt hole diameters ranging from 6.5 mm to 21.0 mm.
- R80 Series (70–95 mm²): Similar bolt sizes with lengths approximately 54.2 to 68.0 mm and widths 22.0 or 32.0 mm.
- R70 and R100 Series (120–150 mm²): Larger dimensions with lengths from 51.2 mm to 69.0 mm and widths 20.0 to 32.0 mm.
