Introduction

The LWS-160 Cold Bend Testing Machine is designed for bending and straightening steel reinforcing bars. It supports two types of tests: bending through 90° and straightening by at least 20°, and bending through 180°. It complies with ASTM A615 A615M, ISO 7438, and other specifications.

Mechanical Operation

The machine features a hydraulic power pack with a cylindrical mandrel-stem, mounted within a steel frame with two fixed reaction rollers. It includes adjustable rollers for bars with diameters between 5 and 40 mm.

Control Panel

Mandrels can be easily fixed and changed on the thrust cylinder, ensuring interchangeability. The installation involves loosening and tightening screws to secure the mandrel.

Cold Bend Testing Machine LWS Series │ LWS-160 - Features The Mandrel is interchangeable to meet requirements of specimens with varying diameters. Adjustable distance between rollers to accommodate specimens of varying diameters and shapes. Simple manual control to finish a testing procedure by pressing down corresponding buttons. The whole is cased to protect every single component from the dust, and the operator from any possible danger. A small bowl has been fitted under the beam, where the steel bar is bent. Introduction LWS-160 is specially designed to test bend-resistance performance of reinforced rolling steel bars, building steel reinforcements and steel pipes which completely meet the requirements of ASTM A615 A615M, ISO 7438 and other international and national specifications. Generally, the deformed and plain carbon steel bars for concrete reinforcement in cut lengths shall withstand being bent around a pin without cracking on the outside radius of the bent portion.
