Irradiance Sensor The Irradiance Sensor is part of the SEVEN meteorological sensor series which includes professional and intelligent measurement sensors with a digital or analog interface for environmental and industrial applications such as photovoltaic installations. The Irradiance Sensor, also known as PV Pyranometer with photovoltaic reference cell, provides users with irradiance data in W/m² for calculating the performance ratio of PV plants. Irradiance Sensors are available with various outputs to meet customer requirements. Measured irradiance data is transmitted to data loggers and receiving units according to the input requirements. SEVEN products use reliable, high-quality components to deliver accurate meteorological data for environmental and industrial applications. The Irradiance Sensor is specifically designed to meet the requirements of PV plant monitoring systems, based on standards such as IEC 61724 and IEC 60904. All irradiance sensors except the Low-Cost Irradiance Sensor use the cell temperature value to produce a temperature-compensated irradiance reading. The Irradiance Sensor functions as a main hub to which ambient & module temperature, wind speed & direction, and relative humidity sensors can be connected. All measured meteorological data is transmitted to data loggers and receiving units via a 3-wire RS-485 bus using the Modbus RTU protocol. 3S-IS-T-I The 4-20 mA analog output irradiance sensor measures irradiance and cell temperature. The measured irradiance value is temperature-compensated. The 4-20 mA Irradiance Sensor connects to the appropriate analog inputs of data loggers or other receiving units. 3S-IS-T-1,5V The 0–1,5 V analog output irradiance sensor measures irradiance and cell temperature.
