Thermal Protection Material Overview
This document describes a thermal protection material composed of aluminum foil bonded to glass fabric using high-temperature (HT) adhesive. The reverse side is laminated with 2.5 mm felt made from 100% preox fibers. This material is suitable for continuous use at temperatures up to 230°C, with pieces available upon request.
Specifications- Weight: 650 g/m² with a tolerance of +/- 15% (Test Method: DIN EN 12127B)
- Thickness: 2.3 mm with a tolerance of +/- 15% (Test Method: DIN EN ISO 5084)
- Outside Face: Aluminum foil
- Inside Face: Preox fibers with HT adhesive
- Warp Count: 17 threads/cm (Test Method: DIN 53 853)
- Warp Strength: > 220 N/cm (Test Method: DIN EN 13934-1)
- Weft Count: 12 threads/cm (Test Method: DIN 53 853)
- Weft Strength: > 180 N/cm (Test Method: DIN EN 13934-1)
Temperature Specifications- Felt - Inside Temperature: -40°C to +200°C for long-term use, -40°C to +250°C for short-term use
- Max. Operational Temperature - Outside: +230°C for long-term use, +240°C for short-term use
- Note: Reduced tear strength at upper temperature levels
