  • Rogowski Coils: Rc150 series Rogowski coils offer easy connection for high current applications, available in various lengths and diameters.
2. Energy Counters:
  • S500 Series: Energy counters providing technical data and programming systems for measuring parameters such as active and reactive power, with options for bidirectional measurement across four quadrants.
3. Communication and Programming:
  • Devices support remote management through ENERGY POWER PACK software and a web server interface, allowing for data logging and parameter configuration.
4. Standards and Certifications:
  • Devices comply with CE certifications and various international standards, ensuring safety and reliability in power measurement applications.
5. Applications:
  • Typical applications include load monitoring, power peak control, and remote consumption detection, suitable for control panels, generators, and motor control systems.
Specifications: The S500 Series energy counters include passive optoisolated inputs with maximum values of 27 Vdc at 27 mA and 250 Vac/dc at 100 mA. The pulse length is 50±2 ms, and the meter constant is 1000 imp/kWh.
Communication: Energy counters support ModBUS, M-BUS, Ethernet, and Konnex protocols. Modbus communication is via RS485 port with speeds from 30 to 57600 bps. M-BUS follows EN 1434-3 standard with speeds from 300 to 38400 bps. Ethernet supports 10/100BaseT, HTTP, NTP, DHCP, and ModBUS TCP with data recording and web server capabilities.
Configuration: Configuration can be done using front key buttons or software packages like ENERGY MODBUS PACK and ENERGY M-BUS PACK, available for download from Seneca's website. These packages allow for serial port settings, counter addition, and network parameter configuration.
Standards and Certifications: Energy counters comply with EN 50740-3, IEC/EN 62053-21/23, and EN 50470-3 standards, and are CE and MID certified.
Programming: Functions accessible via front key buttons include page scrolling, access to programming pages, start/stop/reset of partial hour counters, parameter setting, and display testing.
Web Server: S500 Series energy counters with Ethernet or external COM versions provide access to a web server for real-time values and recorded data, exportable in .csv format.
Order Codes: Various models of energy counters are listed with different specifications, such as single-phase and three-phase counters, with options for ModBUS, M-BUS, and Ethernet communication, and MID certification.
Software and Accessories: Software packages for managing energy counters include E-MODBUS PACK and E-M-BUS PACK. Accessories include serial converters and optical interface modules.
Measuring Parameters: Measuring parameters for different series include instantaneous values like voltage, current, power factor, active power, and frequency, as well as stored data like active energy and reactive energy.
Application Diagrams: Diagrams illustrate connection setups for different systems, including single-phase and three-phase systems, with various communication interfaces.
Contact Information: Contact details for Seneca's headquarters, technical support, and sales office are provided, along with a disclaimer regarding the document's content.

ROGOWSKI COILS ROGOWSKI COILS An air-cored toroidal winding is placed around the conductor, the magnetic field produced by the current induces in the coil a voltage proportional to the rate of change of current. Integrating this voltage the output become proportional to the current (as for a current transformer). Coil length variates from 25 to 300 cm for a cord diameter up to 8 mm • The junction point is insensitive to both the position of the internal conductor and to currents carried by external conductors • Coil and cable shielded against electromagnetic noise • Cross section reduced up to...

HIGH PERFORMANCE ROGOWSKI COILS Rogowski coils have been used for the detection and measurement of electric currents for decades. They are based on a simple principle where an “air-cored” coil is placed around the conductor in a toroidal fashion and the magnetic field produced by the current induces a voltage in the coil. The voltage output is proportional to the rate of change of current. This voltage is integrated, thus producing an output proportional to the current. By using precision winding techniques, especially developed for the purpose, the coils are manufactured so that their output...
