SEMIKRON focuses on ensuring the highest supply chain safety for its customers by developing and introducing industry-standard packages. The company offers five different power module packages that are fully pin-compatible with market standards.
SEMIKRON provides a range of power module packages including SEMITOP E1/E2, SEMiX5, SEMiX3 Press-Fit, and SEMITRANS10. These packages are designed to meet industry standards and enhance supply chain safety.
To ensure supply chain safety, SEMIKRON introduces a second source of IGBT chips from Vishay, Renesas, Infineon, ABB, and Fuji. The SEMITRANS10 module is the first to be released with second source IGBTs, with other modules to follow. Additional manufacturers are available for free-wheeling diodes alongside SEMIKRON CAL diodes.
SEMIKRON aims to enhance the performance of standard packages by integrating functionality without requiring extra space. The SEMiX3 Press-Fit includes current sensing and a plug-and-play driver, reducing system costs. SEMiX5 is optimized for heat spreading and lower thermal resistance, with the lowest stray inductance in the market.
