SEM Overview - 1

The new HDM series of high torque density motors offer superb performance in anextremely compact form. Combining the latest in high-energy Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) magnets with segmented stator technology, these motors exhibit high torque to size ratios. Available from mid 2003, these motors will offer significant advantages for any application where space is at a premium. > With a torque range from 0.2 to 67Nm and frame sizes from 55mm to 190mm square, the HR series of servomotors are suitable for applications where high acceleration and deceleration are required. Low inertia rotors combined with high energy magnets give the HR series the high dynamic performance required for most special purpose applications. > The new HRS series of reduced length servomotors will be available mid 2003.Available in 92, 115 and 142mm frames, these motors are electrically compatible with the existing HR series but are flat bodied and have a substantially shorter mechanical form. > The HJ series is SEMs range of higher inertia brushless servomotors. The largediameter shaft, rotor and bearings give the HJ series higher rotor inertia and shaft stiffness. These features provide increased stability at low speeds together with increased rigidity and make the motors ideal for machine tool and direct drive applications. With the addition of the HJ190 in mid 2003, the HJ range will offer torques from 2.8 to 65Nm in five frame sizes 96, 116, 130, 155 and 190mm square. > The MTseries is SEM Ғ s well proven range of permanent magnet D.C. brushedservomotors. Available in 4 frame sizes and a performance range from 0.5 to 37Nm. These motors are ideal for low cost, conventional applications. > SEM has been a leading designer and manufacturer of permanent magnet AC and DC servomotors for manyyears. SEM servomotors are supplied worldwide through an extensive network of distributors and systems houses located throughout Europe, Asia, USAand South America. SEM holds ISO9001-2000 accreditation as well as UL-approval for most servomotors and produces both standard products and custom motor solutions of the highest quality.
