The SFP-S TDR-Fill-Level Sensor features a high-grade steel connection head (material No. 1.4305) and a 5-pole M12 plug connection. It operates with a supply voltage range of 12 V DC to 30 V DC and provides an analog output of 4 mA to 20 mA or 0 V to 10 V, automatically switching based on load. It includes one PNP transistor output (Q1) and one switchable PNP/NPN transistor output (Q2). The sensor has a response time of less than 400 ms and operates within an ambient temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, with a process temperature durability of -20°C to +150°C. It can withstand process pressures from -1 bar to +16 bar and is protected up to IP69K.

Applications
The SFP-S is designed for hygienic level measurement in liquids using TDR technology. It is suitable for fill level measurement in hygienic applications, offering a robust design that increases service life. The sensor is ideal for both level and continuous fill level measurement, featuring a cuttable probe and a modular process connection system.

Design and Materials
The sensor boasts a hygienic design with aseptic measuring points and requires no calibration or recalibration for commissioning. Wetted parts are made of 1.4404 stainless steel and PEEK, ensuring durability and compliance with hygienic standards.

Mechanical and Electrical Details
The sensor's probe lengths range from 1000 mm to 4000 mm, with custom lengths available upon request. It features a G1” hygienic process connection with a polymer-free sealing system. The housing material is 1.4305, and the maximum probe load is 6 Nm. The sensor's electrical connection is via an M12 plug, and it supports analog output with automatic switching between current and voltage outputs. All connections are polarity protected, and outputs are overload and short-circuit protected.

Performance and Accuracy
The sensor offers an accuracy of ±5 mm and a reproducibility of less than 2 mm, with a resolution of 2 mm. It is designed to handle a maximum fill level change of 500 mm/s and operates effectively with a dielectric constant of ≥5.

Environmental and Safety Considerations
The sensor is designed to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -20°C to +60°C and can be stored at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C. It meets EMC standards for interference resistance and emission, ensuring reliable performance in various industrial environments.
