Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides a detailed description of seepex macerators, which are used in various industries to grind solid and fibrous components in conveying mediums. These macerators enhance the reliability and lifespan of seepex pumps and other process devices.
Specifications: The macerators are part of Product Group M and consist of two ranges, each with two sizes, capable of handling flow rates up to 150 m3/h (660 GPM). They can be mounted with seepex pumps on a common base plate for compact operation.
Components and Features:
  • Drive: Cutting instead of tearing at low speeds results in low driving power.
  • Lantern: Connects the macerator housing and drive.
  • Headstock Assembly: Allows easy replacement of the complete unit.
  • Cutter Casing: Allows product feed from three directions.
  • Cleanouts: Designed for quick cleaning and draining.
  • Knives and Shear Plate: Made of hard tungsten carbide and hardened steel, respectively, for effective cutting and slicing.
Sizes and Capacities:
  • Size 110: Handles flow rates from 20–150 m3/h (88–660 GPM).
  • Size 25: Suitable for flow rates up to 30 m3/h (132 GPM).
Applications: Macerators are used in agriculture, construction, food and beverage, mining, petrochemicals, pulp and paper, and more.
Advantages:
  • Longer service life and increased operational safety.
  • Lower power requirements due to the unique cutting principle.
  • Controlled maceration with shear plates and variable drive speeds.
  • Service-friendly with easy replacement of the headstock.
  • Optional integrated heavy solids separation unit.
Design Ranges:
  • Range I, Inline Design: Features an integral solids separator, suitable for horizontal pipe work.
  • Range U, Universal Design: Can be installed on vertical pipe work or supply tanks, with a solids separator.

M – Macerators In addition to industrial and municipal wastewater applications, seepex macerators are used in a variety of industries. They grind almost all solid and fibrous components in the conveying medium. They increase reliability and life of both seepex pumps and process devices like centrifuges and belt filter presses. The degree of reduction can vary depending on flow rate, output speed and shear plate design. These parameters can be adapted to suit individual applications. Product group M consists of two ranges, each with two sizes for flow rates up to 150 m 3/h (660 GPM). seepex macerators...

Overview of ranges The integral solids separator is unique to the range I. It is installed in horizontal pipe work and directly connected to a seepex pump. Product feed is possible from three different directions. Range I, Inline Design At ~5 % solids, the size 25 is suitable for flow rates up to 30 m 3/h (132 GPM) and the size 110 can handle flows to 150 m 3/h (660 GPM). The universal installation of range U is done either on a vertical pipe work or a supply tank, which is directly connected to a seepex pump. At ~5 % solids, the size 25 is suitable for flow rates up to 30 m 3/h (132 GPM) and...
