Model FG-M6PUNCTURE Force Gauge Accessory Operation Manual Improper use of the FG-M6PUNCTURE can cause skin penetration and other bodily injuries due to improper use of attachment. The FG-M6PUNCTURE accessory is designed to be used with a Nidec-Shimpo FGV or FGE digital force gauge to measure the hardness puncture resistance of different materials. This accessory is threaded to the sensor head of a Shimpo force gauge. The outer shell of the FG-M6PUNCTURE retracts as a load is applied with the force gauge to the test material. As the retraction of the outer shell occurs, the pin becomes exposed. The puncture test continues until the outer shell comes to a stop from contact with the base of the force gauge. The force reading displayed on the force gauge will indicate the puncture resistance of the test material.
