Scott Bader offers Crystic Crestapol® 1210 and 1212 resin systems known for their outstanding properties, including very fast cure times, low viscosity, and excellent surface finish. These resins are designed for closed mould and pultrusion applications, providing high performance in fire, smoke, and toxic fume resistance when heavily filled with ATH.
- Very fast cure with geltime ranging from 2 to 60 minutes.

This resin is characterized by its rapid cure and ability to be highly filled, making it suitable for closed mould applications. It can achieve very low cycle times of 6-7 minutes.
A tough, low viscosity resin ideal for closed mould and pultrusion processes. It offers high fire, smoke, and toxic fume performance when filled with ATH.
- Barcol Hardness: 47 for Crestapol 1210, 33 for Crestapol 1212.
- Deflection Temperature under Load: 111°C for Crestapol 1210, 87°C for Crestapol 1212.
- Tensile Strength: 73 MPa for Crestapol 1210, 65 MPa for Crestapol 1212.
- Tensile Modulus: 3.7 GPa for Crestapol 1210, 2.7 GPa for Crestapol 1212.
- Elongation at Break: 2.5% for Crestapol 1210, 5.1% for Crestapol 1212.
The resins are compatible with polyester gelcoats and allow for efficient, rapid manufacturing of fully cured items. Crestapol 1210 shows superior interlaminar shear strength and fatigue performance compared to Iso polyester, while Crestapol 1212 demonstrates high fracture toughness.
