Automatic Ash-Colour-Turbidity Analyser

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Automatic Ash-Colour-Turbidity Analyser by SCHMIDT+HAENSCH is designed to measure the conductivity, colour, and turbidity of sugar solutions. It adheres to the official ICUMSA methods, ensuring reliable and efficient quality control in sugar laboratories.
Specifications:
  • Conductivity is measured according to ICUMSA method GS2/3-17 in a 28 Bx solution.
  • Colour is measured photometrically at 420 nm in a filtered 50 Bx solution, expressed in ICUMSA colour units (IU).
  • Turbidity is calculated as the difference between the filtered and unfiltered colour measurements.
  • Accuracy: Colour in solution ± 1 IU (up to 30 IU), Turbidity ± 10%, Ash content ± 0.001%, Bx solution ± 0.1 Bx.
System Description: The analyser is a standalone, PC-controlled system equipped with a colorimeter, scale, and conductometer. It includes all necessary pumps and valves for fluid handling, requiring minimal preparation time of one minute. A full analysis cycle takes approximately 20 minutes.
System Requirements:
  • Distilled or deionized water.
  • Compressed air (4 - 8 bar).
Benefits: This system enhances the efficiency and reliability of quality control processes by automating the measurement of key parameters in sugar production. Results are automatically transmitted using the AQUISYS software, integrating seamlessly into laboratory data systems.
