Overview
The MBBS Balancing Machine is designed for turbocharger impellers, featuring patented air bearing rotor support for high measurement accuracy. It offers short run-up and braking times through an air-drive system and includes digital measurement equipment for direct unbalance or correction display. The machine allows easy changeover to different rotor types.

Applications
This machine is used to determine the unbalance in machined turbocharger rotors, suitable for small- and mid-volume production, quality control, and R&D. It measures unbalance in two planes and can convert it to the most suitable correction planes. An optional correction unit allows for multiple correction steps, with manual or hand-operated loading and unloading.

Design Features
The machine has a vertical axis with one to three balancing units and an automatic operating cycle. It features a vibration-optimized aluminum profile frame, type-dependent exchangeable precision air bearings, and a drive with automatic speed control. A pneumatic lifting device aids in loading, and the CAB 750 unit processes measured data.

The machine is available in various models (020 MBBS to 600 MBBS), all equipped with the CAB 750 measuring unit. It supports automatic unbalance measurement and correction for turbine and compressor rotors. The machine accommodates rotor weights from 3g to 5400g and diameters from 25mm to 180mm. It maintains a maximum balancing speed of 2200 to 3200 min^-1 and a measurement uncertainty ranging from 0.002 to 0.8 gmm. Measuring time varies from 6 to 50 seconds, with air pressure requirements of 450 to 600 kPa and air consumption of 8 m³/h.
