CrimpWise FUNCTIONALITY AND EXTENSION Functionality of the System The monitoring of crimp quality during cable production is achieved by comparing the measured force with a reference, for example, to detect missing strands or insulation in the crimp connection. A deviation from the learned reference curve triggers an error message from the machine or, if a bad part cutter is installed, leads to the cutting of the cable.
