Product catalog summary
Overview
The hurrySCAN® and hurrySCAN® II scan heads by SCANLAB are designed for industrial laser materials processing, offering solutions for a wide range of applications. These scan heads are mechanically and electrically compatible, with apertures from 7 to 30 mm and various dynamic levels. They feature integrated temperature stabilization for high long-term stability and low drift values.

Specifications
The scan heads are available in small and large aperture systems. Small-aperture systems provide high speed and precision, suitable for marking speeds over 1000 characters per second. Large-aperture systems handle small spot sizes, high speed, and laser power up to multi-kilowatt levels. The housing design and manufacturing tolerances ensure flexibility and adaptability to customer requirements.

Applications
Typical applications include materials processing, marking, microstructuring, rapid manufacturing, 3D applications, and processing-on-the-fly.

Optics and Control
Optimized scan mirrors and objectives are available for various laser types. The scan heads can be controlled via SCANLAB’s RTC® control boards, with options for analog or digital interfaces and optical fiber data interfaces.

Attachment and Cooling
The scan heads feature threaded and non-threaded holes for mounting and installation of additional components. Cooling options include water-cooling for the entrance aperture, electronics, and galvanometer scanners, and air-cooling for deflection mirrors, ensuring reliable operation in high-power applications.

Options and Quality
Options include extending into a 3-axis scan system, additional reference sensor systems, high-performance mirrors, and camera adapters for process monitoring. SCANLAB ensures high quality through extensive testing, including the SCAN check burn-in test.

Performance and Dimensions
The scan heads offer various performance metrics such as scan angles, field sizes, nonlinearity, tracking error, long-term drift, step response time, and speeds for marking, positioning, and writing. Dimensions and weight vary by model, with specific details provided for each.

Common Specifications
Common specifications include dynamic performance, optical performance, power requirements, input and output signals, operating temperature, and air and water requirements. These specifications ensure consistent performance across different models.

Mounting bracket Mounting Bracket Beam Exit Side with Beam Displacement Scan mirrors and objectives with optimized mounts are available for all typical laser types and working fields. To optimally utilize standard objectives, the hurrySGW® 25's two scan axes have differing maximum scan angles. This results in an elliptical image field with the larger semi-axis perpendicular to the entrance beam axis. All scan heads of these series are equipped with either analog or digital standard inter- faces and are easily controlled via SCANLAB's RTC® control boards. All scan heads are optionally available...
