Product catalog summary
Overview: The Scania DC09 071A engine is designed for power generation, offering a power range of 226-251 kW (250-275 kVA) and complying with EU Stage IIIA emissions standards. It features a robust design with a strength-optimized cylinder block and wet cylinder liners for easy maintenance.
Standard Equipment: The engine includes the Scania Engine Management System (EMS), unit injectors (PDE), a turbocharger, fuel and oil filters, a centrifugal oil cleaner, an integrated oil cooler, and a deep front oil sump. It also comes with a starter, alternator, flywheel, and EGR system.
Optional Equipment: Options include a cooling package, fan, side-mounted PTO, exhaust connections, instrument panel, engine heater, and air cleaner, among others.
Engine Specifications: The engine has 5 in-line cylinders, a 4-stroke working principle, and a displacement of 9.3 liters. It operates at 1500 rpm (50 Hz) and 1800 rpm (60 Hz) with a compression ratio of 16:1. The weight is 950 kg excluding oil and coolant.
Performance: At 1500 rpm, the engine delivers 226 kW (250 kVA) with a specific fuel consumption of 211 g/kWh at full load. At 1800 rpm, it delivers 251 kW (275 kVA) with a specific fuel consumption of 214 g/kWh at full load. Heat rejection to coolant is 107 kW at 1500 rpm and 114 kW at 1800 rpm.
Design Features: The engine features individual cylinder heads with 4 valves per cylinder, promoting repairability and fuel economy. The injection system uses electronically controlled unit injectors for low emissions and high torque. An EGR system further reduces NOx emissions.
