These interconnects are available on 3 different pin pitches: .5mm (.0197”) (QTH/QSH), .635mm (.025”) (QTS/QSS) .8mm (.0315”) (QTE/QSE). The Q Strip® connectors have surface mount signal contacts as well as a surface mount ground plane between the two rows of signals for improved electrical performance. ® Mated sets of the Q Strip connectors are available in 8 different stack heights from 5mm (.197”) to 30mm (1.180”). Options include guideposts for blind mate scenarios as well as alignment pins and locking clips for proper connector placement before reflow. Q Strip® connectors are available in 1-5 banks of up to 60 contacts each ©Samtec, Inc. 2008 for a total of 300 available I/Os in one .5mm (.0197”) pitch connector set. The integrated ground planes may be used for power as well as ground, which can help to increase the number of contacts that can be used for signal. Versions are also available specifically for differential pair applications (Q Pairs®). The “–DP” option is available with up to 20 differential pairs per bank for a total of up to 100 pairs (5 banks) per interconnect. Other Q Strip® configurations are available for perpendicular and coplanar board-to-board applications. Right angle Q Strips® are available on .635mm (.025”) pitch for traditional single side processing. Edge mount versions of all three pitch variations round out the Q Strip® line as an alternative for eliminating row-to-row skew in perpendicular and coplanar applications.
