SAM-VNH7DC12A Mini DC 12A H Bridge Driver Board Description Features The small yet powerful H Bridge DC driver SAM-VNH7DC12A breakout board has a lot of great specs that make it useful for a wide variety of mechatronics. In particular the high current output and automotive grade reliability makes it a great choice for almost any DC motor. This board comes pre assembled using the automotive grade VNH7100AS H-Bridge driver, incorporating a dual monolithic high-side driver and two low-side switches. Both switches are designed to efficiently integrate on the same die for a true Power MOSFET with intelligent signal/protection circuitry. The SAM-VNH7DC12A supports H-bridge (1 Motor) , Dual half-bridge (2 motors) and Cascaded (3 Motors) hardware configurations. Easy Connection - The input signals IN_A and IN_B directly interface to the microcontroller to select the motor direction, speed, stop and brake parameters. The SEL_0 pin provides addressable information and feedback. • Automotive qualified driver die • Max Output current: 12 A • Power indicator LED • PWM control • Undervoltage lockout • Overvoltage clamp / protection • Thermal shutdown • Very low standby power consumption • PWM operation up to 20 kHz • MultiSense diagnostic functions o Analog motor current feedback o Output short to VCC detection • Output protected against short to ground and short to VCC • Standby Mode
