Versilon™ 2001

Product catalog summary
Overview: Versilon™ 2001 tubing is designed for flexibility, chemical resistance, and extended pump life without plasticizers or oils. It is suitable for various applications such as peristaltic pump systems, soap and detergent dispensing, ink transfer, water purification, food and beverage, and chemical transfer.
Chemical Resistance: The tubing outperforms PVC in chemical resistance, making it ideal for use with aggressive chemicals like polar solvents. This results in less downtime and fewer tubing changes, offering a longer service life without degradation.
Environmental and Safety Features: Versilon™ 2001 tubing does not release hazardous by-products upon incineration and is free from plasticizers and oils, ensuring no taste contamination in food and beverage applications. It complies with FDA 21 CFR, 177.2600 criteria and REACH standards.
Key Features and Benefits:
  • Plasticizer and oil-free, preventing fluid contamination.
  • Superior flex life in peristaltic pumps.
  • Chemically resistant to a wide range of fluids.
  • Temperature resistant from -108°F to 135°F.
  • Clear tubing for easy visual flow monitoring.
  • Meets FDA criteria for food contact and REACH compliance.
Typical Applications: The tubing is used in chemical transfer, peristaltic pumps, soap and detergent dispensing, ink transfer, water purification lines, food and beverage, analytical instruments, and is ideal for condensers, incubators, desiccators, gas, and drain lines.
Technical Specifications:
  • Durometer Hardness: 69 (Shore A)
  • Tensile Strength: 800 psi (5.51 MPa)
  • Ultimate Elongation: 500%
  • Tear Resistance: 140 lb-f/in. (24.5 kN/m)
  • Specific Gravity: 0.88
  • Water Absorption: 0.04%
  • Compression Set: 40%
  • Brittleness Temperature: -108°F (-78°C)
  • Maximum Operating Temperature: 135°F (57°C)
  • Low Temperature Flexibility: -100°F (-73°C)
  • Dielectric Strength: 530 V/mil (20.9 kV/mm)
Performance in Peristaltic Pumps: The tubing demonstrates superior performance in peristaltic pumps, with a longer life compared to typical PVC tubing under similar conditions.
Chemical Resistance Chart: Versilon™ 2001 tubing shows excellent resistance to acids, bases, salts, and alcohols, with fair resistance to ketones, outperforming many other materials like fluoroelastomers, urethane, and PVC.

It is ideal for a broad range of demanding applications including peristaltic pump systems, soap and detergent dispensing, ink transfer, water purification lines, food and beverage, and chemical transfer. Outperforms PVC in Chemical Resistance Versilon™ 2001 tubing is resistant to a wide range of fluids that typically destroy PVC products. Its chemical resistance allows it to be used in applications with aggressive chemicals such as polar solvents, benefiting the user with less downtime and tubing changes. Versilon™ 2001 tubing yields a longer service life and does not degrade over time, unlike other flexible tubing products (see "Relative Chemical Resistance Chart” on back). Additional Product Features Upon incineration, many tubing products release hazardous by-products such as hydrogen chloride gas, but when properly incinerated, Versilon" 2001 tubing does not. Since it contains no plasticizers or oils, Versilon" 2001 tubing will not yield any taste, which makes it an ideal choice for food and beverage applications with strict taste requirements and will help ensure accurate results from analytical instrument tests. Versilon" 2001 tubing fully complies with FDA 21 CFR, 177.2600 criteria and REACH.
