Manufacturing and Features
All doors are manufactured at the Cusano Milanino facilities, featuring a unique assembly line process. Key features include gauged polystyrene insulation, embossed sheet metal, cast aluminum hinges, and a patented bearing structure for adjustable folding doors. The doors are available in standard RAL colors, with optional custom colors.
Thermal Performance
The doors comply with EN 10077 standards for thermal transmittance, with specific models achieving Ud values ranging from 1.7 to 1.8 W/m²K. The insulating panels have thermal conductivity values of λd: 0.0813 to 0.0836 W/m²K.
Panel Insulation
The document highlights the advantages of using glued panels over foamed panels, emphasizing better adhesion and durability. The panels can be customized with ventilation grids and windows for aesthetic and functional needs.
Pedestrian Passage and Safety
Pedestrian passages can be integrated into the gate doors, with options for steps or split panels. These passages are not recommended as safety exits unless verified by technical experts.
PG 3000 Model
This model features folding doors without floor tracks, suitable for various opening sizes. It includes a patented sliding hinge system for easy installation and minimal maintenance. The model supports manual and motorized operations.
PG 10000 Model
An evolution of the PG 3000, this model is designed for larger spaces with thicker panels (82 mm). It retains the same features as the PG 3000 but is optimized for larger installations.
PG LUX and GRID Models
The PG LUX model offers a fully glazed, elegant appearance, ideal for commercial environments. The PG GRID model is designed for spaces requiring air exchange, featuring a grid structure.
Specifications
The doors are constructed with durable materials such as galvanized steel and feature unique components like double ball bearing, self-lubricating bushes. The PL 3000 and PL 10000 models are highlighted, with the latter offering extra-large versions with 82 mm thick panels and heights up to 10,000 mm.
Types of Doors
  • PL 3000 Series: Includes manually operated, pre-equipped for motor installation, and fully motorized versions.
  • PL 10000 Series: Features extra-large doors with seamless, highly insulated panels.
  • PS 3000 Series: Offers top-mounted and bottom-mounted sliding doors, with options for telescopic panels.
  • PS GOLIA: Customizable gate doors for specific applications like hangars and shipyards.
  • US 3000 Series: Insulated doors suitable for outdoor use, available in one or two leaves versions.
Installation and Operation
The doors are designed to be installed "hanging" from a load-bearing lintel or with a floor track for bottom-mounted models. Motor operation can be human-controlled or automatic, with recommendations for human control due to the size of the gates.
Applications
These doors are suitable for closing factories, hangars, heliports, motorway depots, and other large spaces. The document also mentions the use of insulated swing doors for safety exits, with features like screw-anchored frames and integrated drip systems.
Additional Features
The document highlights the availability of optional accessories, mechanisms, and safety devices, including panic devices certified according to EU standards.

for a high level of thermal insulation 1 Milled and gauged insulating material, before glue spreading. 2 Note the difference between “glued” panel A, just out of the press, and foamed panels B and C. The sheet metal is very hard to detach from panel A glued; the glue is evenly spread and covers the entire surface. From foamed panel B the sheet metal is easy to detach and most of the metal face is still visible and not bound to the insulating foam. 3 Automated spreading of the single component glue. Few manufacturers use this most advanced solution, as it is definitely more expensive than the...

PG PL PS PB US Pedestrian passage with step A courtesy pedestrian passage with step can always be built in a Sacil Hlb insulated gate door. Because of the step, these doors are not recommended as safety exits, but in some cases they can be accepted. The are best used as courtesy access to the building, to avoid opening the gate door. The width is the same as the panels that compose the gate door, less 20 cm for the perimeter frame. The standard supply includes handle and lock, AISI 304 stainless steel drip and kick plate, and black aluminium perimeter profiles. The door swings around security...

Split panel Unlike sectional doors, folding doors can include a dedicated emergency exit door. This is to be considered as remedial solution for cases where an exit needs to be created in a building under renovation and/or upgrading, but the conditions of the walls do not allow the installation of safety exit doors elsewhere. A pedestrian passage without step is commonly called “split panel”, because the panel is spit into two sections so that the lower section can be opened toward the outside. The solution can be adopted in all door types consisting of 1, 2, or 4 panels per door if installed...
