The grease prevents blocking in the event of any abrupt braking caused by fast pallets. Brake shoes and plates are manufactured in a single piece. This allows the braking surface to cool quickly. The shoe is made of a special techno-polymer which is not sensitive to heat and very stable. The materials are therefore not subject to excessive wear caused by softening during braking operations.

The pins reach into the part of the tube that is not affected when the tube is pressed on to the gear unit.
