Overview

The document introduces S&C's IntelliLINK® Remote Setup Software, which allows remote access to S&C Automation Products using the DNP 3.0 Protocol from any PC connected to the DNP network. This software enables configuration, data access, and troubleshooting of equipment.

Activation and Compatibility

IntelliLINK Remote is included with IntelliLINK® Setup Software but requires a purchased software license key for activation. A temporary key is available for evaluation. Existing S&C Automation Products can be upgraded to work with IntelliLINK Remote.

Application and Connectivity

IntelliLINK Remote can be applied in different ways, such as connecting a computer to the SCADA communication port of a 5800 Series Automatic Switch Control or via Ethernet TCP/IP or UDP/IP to a device terminal server. It supports complex communication systems with simultaneous DNP message delivery.

Communication Options

S&C offers three communication options: IntelliLINK, IntelliLINK Remote, and WinMon®. Each provides an intuitive interface with consistent layouts and procedures. Key features include:

• IntelliLINK: Direct connection to each control's serial port using a proprietary protocol.
• IntelliLINK Remote: Remote configuration and data retrieval over a network with password protection.
• WinMon: Maximum remote functionality with DNP command issuance and simultaneous device access.
