Product catalog summary
Description
The Series 6000 Hydropak is an Intelligent Variable Speed (IVS) booster system available in single-stage Vertical In-Line and End Suction configurations. It offers 2- or 3-pump system configurations, fully integrated with controls, drives, pumps, and motors. The system is compact, occupying less than 50% of the space of conventional systems, and is factory-tested. The 6700 series supports applications up to 1000 USgpm and 240 psi, while the 6500 series supports up to 500 USgpm and 140 psi.

Typical Applications
This system is ideal for retrofit or new construction projects with limited floor space, such as hotels, motels, resorts, condos, apartments, schools, office buildings, retirement homes, and hospitals. It is designed to fit through small doors (less than 34 inches).

System Features
The system includes a demand-based control system, NEMA premium efficiency motors, and advanced control features like SoftFill, No-Flow Shutdown, and pressure set-back. It has flexible PLC control with BAS communication protocols and eliminates the need for system bypasses and pressure reducing valves. The system is equipped with high-pressure shutdown, storage tank optimization, and USB connectivity for remote commissioning.

Available Options
Options include a 7-inch HMI color touch screen controller, remote pressure transmitters, ASME and Non-ASME rated drawdown tanks, and various panel enclosures.

Certification and Approvals
The system is ISO 9001 certified, with UL508 labelled panels and CSA approval. It is compliant with AB1953 and NSF-61-G standards.

Variable Speed Technology
Armstrong's IVS technology adjusts pump speed based on system demand, optimizing energy use and potentially covering the pump's initial cost within a year.

Benefits of Armstrong Variable Speed Booster System
The system reduces energy consumption by up to 95%, offers detailed energy savings reports, and enhances comfort and safety with advanced control features. It provides superior performance, extended system life, and reduced installation costs. Environmentally, it reduces water and energy consumption, lowering the carbon footprint.

Booster Selection Criteria
The Series 6000 Hydropak packages are designed for various applications, offering choices in pump models and types with basic control logic for reliable operation.
