Function
The machine pre-crushes EPS in the hopper, then uses a screw and hydraulic jaws to compact it into solid blocks. It can be fed manually or via conveyor belt, with sensors for automatic operation. Twin models with multiple screw compactors are available for higher efficiency.

The screw compactor can compact the EPS (also known as airpop) at a ratio of up to 50:1. Before compacting it took 50 trucks to take the EPS to landfill - now only one truck can do it.
