XPS contains a significant amount of air, making it ideal for compacting. This process is beneficial for building demolition or XPS producers with off-cuts needing disposal. Compacting reduces transport and handling costs and allows the material to be sold for recycling instead of becoming waste.

The SK370 is designed to handle XPS, which is challenging to compact due to its structure. The material is pre-crushed and then compacted into uniform blocks by a screw and hydraulic jaws. These blocks can be stacked on pallets. The machine can be fed manually or via a conveyor belt, and it features automatic start and stop functions for ease of use. It can also be placed under a silo for XPS dust or smaller pieces.
