Hydraulic Decoking Systems Drill Stem Drive Ruhrpumpen has designed and patented a Drill Stem Drive (DSD) which follows consequently the concept of modules. This eliminates much of the routine maintenance required for existing swivel (rotary joint). The Drill Stem Drive can be installed in new units or for revamps without interruption to decoking operations. The DSD fits within the existing swivel envelope (+/-3”) and can be adapted to the existing crosshead without modification to the control limit switches or mechanical stops.
