Technology Single Direction Relative High Shock Electromechanical wrap spring clutch. Operating Parameters Engagement Relative to Speed Wrap spring clutches provide torque only in the direction in which they wrap down. This allows for overrunning. Due to the EC15's rapid acceleration, system inertia effects can be significant. In some applications a slip device or coupler may beused as a shock absorber. Low Wattage EC15 performance is best within the following conditions: ҕ0- 40аC (32-104аF) 100-800 rpm typical, 1400 rpm max. ՕMinimum load friction torque 6 oz-in (0.05 N-m) plus customer input bearing torque. Rapid Acceleration The EC15 relies on relative motion between the input and output for engagement.
