Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document introduces the ROSS ISO valves, highlighting their high performance, durability, and compliance with ISO 5599/I and 5599/II standards. The ENERGYSAVER® valve series is specifically noted for its innovative design that reduces compressed air consumption and optimizes pneumatic system performance.
Features of ROSS ISO Valves
ROSS ISO valves are designed with precision-finished stainless steel spool and sleeve internals, offering high shifting speed and long life. They include solenoid pilot operators for high shifting force with low power consumption and Viton seals for robust performance across a wide temperature range.
EnergySaver® Valves Series W60
The EnergySaver® valves reduce compressed air consumption by up to 30% and can replace conventional ISO 5599/I valves without adaptation. They feature spool and sleeve construction for long valve life and noise reduction.
Valve Types and Specifications
The document details various valve types, including spool and sleeve valves, poppet valves, and their specific features such as high shifting speed, tolerance to dirty air, and suitability for systems with or without air line lubrication. Specifications include ISO size, port size, valve model number, average CV, dimensions, and weight.
Operating Conditions
Valves are designed to operate within ambient temperatures of 40° to 120°F (4° to 50°C) and media temperatures of 40° to 175°F (4° to 80°C). They require filtered air with a 5-micron recommendation and are suitable for vacuum service with an external pilot supply.
Accessories and Options
Available accessories include sub-bases, manifolds, electrical connectors, manual overrides, and interposed units. These enhance the functionality and adaptability of the valves in different installations.
Safety and Certification
The valves are certified by CSA according to UL 429 and CSA 22.2-139 standards. Users are advised to read all cautions and warnings thoroughly to ensure safe operation.
Installation and Maintenance
Guidelines emphasize the need for trained personnel, regular maintenance, and adherence to specifications. Filtration and lubrication guidelines are provided to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Energy Isolation and Emergency Stop
ROSS L-O-X® and L-O-X® with EEZ-ON® products are classified as energy isolation devices, not emergency stop devices. The importance of using a control system to monitor valve operations is emphasized.
Warranty Information
ROSS CONTROLS offers a one-year warranty on all products, except for Filters, Regulators, and Lubricators (FRLs), which have a seven-year warranty. The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship.
Global Reach
ROSS CONTROLS has a global presence with distributors worldwide, providing guidance for selecting ROSS products for both simple and complex pneumatic systems. Contact information for ROSS offices in various countries is provided for customer and technical service.

ROSS ISO Valves ISO valve-to-base interface standards are internationally recognized and used throughout the world. Valves made for bases conforming to ISO standards are interchangeable without regard to manufacturer. ROSS offers a full line of base-mount valves that conform to the ISO valve-to-base mounting interface standard which specifies the “foot print” of the valve - indicating size and locations of ports, mounting bolts, and maximum valve width. There are two specific interface standards. The ISO 5599/I standard is designed for valves with drop cord electrical connections and the 5599/II...

ROSS ISO Valves GENERAL FEATURES INTERPOSED UNITS Pilot Control. ROSS ISO valves are available for remote pressure control, or with solenoid pilots. With either type of control, full line pressure is used which delivers maximum shifting force. Several different units with special functions are offered for mounting between valve and base. In addition to making a compact installation, these interposed units simplify piping. To order see pages 13 & 18. There is no mechanical connection between the pilot valve and the operating valve as there is with direct-acting solenoid valves. This means that...

ISO (5599/I) EnergySaver® Valves Series W60 Valve Operation Overview The Series W60 EnergySaver® valve is a 5-port, 2-position, sub-base mounted valve that supplies full line pressure to port 4 and reduced pressure (30 psig - 2 bar) to port 2. This provides full cylinder force to move the load, but returns the cylinder with less pressure thus reducing your compressed air consumption by up to 30%. Although reduced, the pressure in port 2 is enough for quick return of the cylinder. The energy saving function is accomplished by action of the spool and works as quickly as a pressure regulator. Traditionally,...

Accessories CONNECTORS for use with DROPCORDS (DIN 43650, Form A) Electrical connectors are required to connect the valve solenoids to the dropcords supplying electrical power. Each connector can be oriented so that the cord can exit in any one of four directions: outboard, inboard, and to the right or to the left of the valve centerline. Cords of 6 mm to 10 mm diameter can be used. TRANSITION PLATES Different size ISO valves can be used in the same manifold installation by means of transition plates. The inlet and exhaust ports of two different size manifold stations are connected by means of...
