Product catalog summary
Installation Instructions
The document provides instructions for installing Flex-Multipatch cables in the OSI PRECONNECT® panel using a special divisible cable gland. Detailed installation procedures can be found in the 'Panels' section on page 114.
Applications
The Flex-Multipatch cables are used for equipment connections from the Equipment Outlet (EO) to devices, in accordance with the future DIN EN 50173-5 standard. They are suitable for point-to-point connections in SAN and server farm cabling, data center cabling, telecommunication cross-connects, and rack-to-rack patch connections.
Properties
The cables consist of factory-assembled simplex or duplex patch cords bundled in a crush-, bend-, and tensile-resistant, flexible, and divisible tube made of FR-LSZH material. The fanout leg lengths are customizable and can be extended during installation. Standard coding is provided for simplex and duplex cables.
Cable and Fiber Types
Available with all common simplex and duplex cable types, the maximum number of fibers depends on the cable type. The cables are compatible with all common fiber types and connectivity systems.
Delivery Form
The cables are 100% insertion-loss measured with a measurement protocol, labeled with product IDs on both sides, and packaged in dust-proof foil tubes. They are available as cable rings or on cardboard drums, with a maximum length of 100 meters.
Technical Data
The document provides detailed technical specifications, including fiber types, number of fibers, diameter, minimum bending radius, crush resistance, tensile strength, and temperature range. Specific data for cable types and fiber types are referenced on pages 21 and 11, respectively.
Compliance
The cables meet the controlled environment (C) requirements according to IEC 61753-1 and the MICE classification C1 according to the future EN 50173-1 standard.
