Applications
The OSI PRECONNECT® ECO TRUNK with mini-break-out cable is designed for short building backbone cabling, including floor-to-floor connections, in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801, future ISO/IEC 24702, and DIN EN 50173-1. It is also suitable for main distribution (MD) and zone distribution (ZD) cabling in data centers, SANs, and server farms as per future DIN EN 50173-5, as well as short rack-to-rack and room-to-room connections in indoor cabling.

Properties and Delivery Form
The cable type is a mini-break-out cable with up to 12 fibers, with technical data available upon request. It features a color code according to DIN/VDE 0888 and is 100% insertion-loss measured with a measurement protocol. Product ID labels are placed on both sides behind the cable dividers. The cable is delivered as a cable ring or on cardboard and wooden drums, with standard lengths up to 1000 meters and longer lengths available on request.

Length Definition
The order length is defined as the length between the connectors at the longest fanout legs on both sides, not between the cable dividers. Length tolerances are specified as follows: up to 10 m = +/-50 cm, 10 m to 30 m = +/- 100 cm, 31 m to 100 m = +/- 150 cm, and longer than 100 m = +/- 2%.

Fiber Types and Connectivity Systems
Fiber types are available on request, and the system is compatible with all common types of single fiber connectivity systems.

Design Characteristics Divergent from Standard Trunk
The ECO TRUNK features no cable divider, only a tensile element, no robust fanout legs, only 900µm fiber buffer, and is only available with an indoor installation tube.
