Stations are built up from modules and a range of standardised components into systems meeting the shipowner’s requirements and preferences. Functions include operation planning, execution and monitoring, based on clearly presented information. The human-machine interface is based on an extensive study of requirements. Crews differ in height, arm reach and other parameters, so the system allows the operator to find a comfortable position, sitting or standing as needed, with controls ergonomically placed and necessary information presented on touch screens.
