The sprinklers spray pendent (SSP) and spray upright (SSU) have a parabolic water distribution directed towards the ground on a specific area. A spray sprinkler discharges from 80 to 100 % of the total water flow in a downward direction. Conventional sprinklers have a spherical water distribution directed towards the ground and the ceiling over a specific area. It discharges from 40 to 60 % of the total water flow in the downward direction. The deflector’s shape allows either an upright or pendent installation with the same water distribution.
