Unit Specifications
The R&S®CBT/R&S®CBT32 Bluetooth® Tester complies with Bluetooth® Core Specification Version 4.2, supporting test modes and RF PHY Test Specification V4.2.0. It features a TCXO time base with a frequency drift of ±1 × 10–6 and aging of ±1 × 10–6/year.
Reference Frequency Input

RF Analyzer
Operating within 2398 MHz to 2499 MHz, the RF analyzer has a frequency uncertainty of ±5 Hz plus time base drift, supporting various Bluetooth® hopping schemes.
Power Meter and Modulation Analyzer
The power meter measures levels from –40 dBm to +22 dBm with wide and narrow filter definitions. The modulation analyzer supports GFSK and DPSK signals with specific frequency offset and deviation uncertainties.
Packet Timing and Guard Time Measurement
Packet timing measurement range is ±20 µs with a resolution of 0.25 µs, and guard time measurement has a resolution of 0.01 µs.
Audio Options
The R&S®CBT-B41 audio generator/analyzer option includes an AF generator (20 Hz to 20 kHz) and an AF analyzer (50 µV to 30 V). The R&S®CBT-B42 digital audio interface supports S/P-DIF per IEC 60958-3.
Inputs and Outputs
The rear panel includes remote control interfaces like IEC/IEEE bus and a serial interface COM 1 RS-232.
