Technical Data GALVA BRIGHT Triple Protection Product Overview ROCOL GALVA BRIGHT offers long term corrosion protection for metal components requiring a permanent, light grey, bright coating. Ideal for components that cannot be galvanised using a hot dip process. It can also be used to repair the surface of galvanised components that have been damaged or removed due to welding or other mechanical operations. Apply to a clean, degreased, dry surface for best results. Remove any residual rust and scale with a wire brush or other abrasive method. Alternatively the surface can be treated with a rust removing gel if preferred. Clean the area to be treated with a non-residue solvent cleaner such as ROCOL INDUSTRIAL CLEANER Rapid Dry Spray, p/c 34131, and ensure the solvent has evaporated completely before continuing. Invert can and shake vigorously for 1 minute after the agitator ball starts to rattle. Hold upright and spray from a distance of approximately 15-30 cm. Apply in light, even layers: Typical Applications Ports and docks, marine and offshore, farm and other industrial equipment: Steel door and window frames, fences, gates, garage doors, trailer and caravan chassis, couplings, internal car body panels, structural steel and guard rails, welded seams, drains and boilers, storage tanks, piping and fittings etc. Triple protection – anti-corrosive, mechanically resilient and water resistant. Excellent long term corrosion protection for ferrous metals – 2,000 hours salt spray test. Unique combination of flexibility and hardness – highly resistant to peeling, flaking and abrasion. Durable, hydrophobic film – moisture repelled from surface to form beads of water. Outstanding temperature resistance – from -30°C to +450°C without deterioration. High performance coating or primer – contains pure zinc, aluminium, synthetic resins and additives. Non-toxic formulation – lead and chromate free. Excellent repair for galvanised adheres well to metal surfaces. For best results apply 2 light films at 15-20 minute intervals rather than 1 heavy film. Additional layers can be applied at 15-20 minute intervals. Always clear nozzle after use by inverting can and spraying until only propellant is expelled. Touch dry in 25 minutes at 20°C – Fully cured in approximately 24 hours at 20°C. If contact is unavoidable, test compatibility with painted or coated surfaces, plastics and rubbers prior to application. Storage temperature should be kept below 50°C.
