Slurry Microtunneling [US]

Product catalog summary
Overview of Microtunneling Systems:
Microtunneling systems are designed for smaller diameter, unmanned tunnel boring projects. These systems allow for remote operation and monitoring from the surface, ensuring precise installations on line and grade according to industry standards. The operation room on the surface contains the operator station and controls for the MTBM and slurry pumps, while hydraulic power units are housed separately. Robbins provides comprehensive field service and support to ensure successful project completion.
Applications:
  • Suitable for soft ground, mixed face, and rock tunneling projects.
  • Operates below the water table up to 3 bar pressure.
  • Compliant with DIN and common U.S. standards.
  • Capable of line and grade sensitive drives and curved drives.
  • Supports various casing types such as RCCP, vitrified clay, polymer-concrete, and steel casing.
Versatile Tunneling:
Robbins MTBMs offer unique and versatile specifications tailored to customer preferences and project requirements. They range in diameter from DN 250 to DN 3000 and can handle soft ground, mixed face, or rock formations. Standard systems can operate with a hydrostatic head up to 3 bar. Larger boring units (DN 1100 and above) allow for face access, enabling safe changes and inspections of cutting tools from within the MTBM. Both analog and digital guidance/data logging systems are available, and custom-sized machines can be manufactured.
Specifications:
The document provides detailed specifications for various MTBM models, ranging from DN 250 to DN 3000. Key parameters include outer diameter, pipe outer diameter, power, torque, speed, and main jack force. For example, the DN 250 model has an outer diameter of 14.5 inches, power of 3 hp, and torque of 2,213 lb-ft, while the DN 3000 model has an outer diameter of 142.7 inches, power of 298 hp, and torque of 919,002 lb-ft.

Slurry Microtunneling [US]-1

SLURRY MICROTUNNELING (MTBM) Microtunneling systems are the optimal choice for smaller diameter, unmanned tunnel boring projects. With these systems, the tunnel boring machine (MTBM) is driven and monitored remotely from the surface and is capable of single pass installations on line and grade per industry standards. The surface-located operation room houses the operator station and drive motor controls for the MTBM and its slurry pumps. Hydraulic power units for the main and intermediate jacking stations are housed separate to the operation room. Robbins has a full staff of field service and support personnel to train and assist as needed to ensure successful project completion. MTBM APPLICATIONS • Soft ground, mixed face and rock tunneling projects • Operates below the water table up to 3 bar pressure • Machines built to suit DIN Standards as well as common U.S. Standards • Line and grade sensitive drives and curved drives • Drives requiring specific casing types such as RCCP, vitrified clay, polymer-concrete, and steel casing VERSATILE TUNNELING Robbins MTBMs bore tunnels with unique and versatile specifications that are determined by customer preference as well as project and technical requirements. Ranging in diameter from DN 250 to DN 3000. Soft ground, mixed face or rock formations. Standard systems can operate with hydrostatic head up to 3 bar. Boring units of DN 1100 and larger can be manufactured with face access, which allows back-loading cutting tools to be safely changed and inspected from within the MTBM. Offers both analog and digital guidance/data logging systems Custom-sized machines are also available. AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE OR LEASE
