Engine Outboard Auger Bearings > Roadtecs outboard auger bearing system incorporates a NOMEX TM washer and an AR400 steel plate on each side of the bearing. This prevents material from entering the bearing. All Roadtec Pavers feature CATҮ engines. The name has long been synonymous with reliability. TM 90 series variable displacement pumps are used in all Roadtec pavers. These are the highest output pumps used in the industry. Augers > The auger assembly on Roadtec pavers can be hydraulically raised and lowered. This feature can assist in eliminating segregation in certain mixes and is very helpful during the loading and unloading process. Stan- dard sonic feed sensors control the augers. The auger chain case width has been kept to a minimum to further reduce segregation. Conveyors > The conveyers are designed to maximize throughput while maintaining durability. Each auger is driven by its own motor. This allows the conveyers to be much closer together compared to designs where the conveyers drive the augers by a chain. Minimizing the space between the con- veyers allows mix to be conveyed out as one uniform flow, greatly reducing segregation. The Comfort Drive Hydraulic motors drive the conveyers by a chain which allows them to be located above the feed tunnel. This makes for easier access and allows for a wider conveyer tunnel.
