Product catalog summary
Overview
The VBR-300 Dok-Lok® Vehicle Restraint is a robust and reliable system designed to secure semi-trailers to loading docks, ensuring safety and efficiency during loading and unloading operations. It features a truck presence bar and maintains constant contact with the trailer's rear impact guard (RIG) through continuous upward force, accommodating trailer bed height fluctuations.

Key Features
  • Flexibility: Capable of servicing a wide variety of trailers, including specialty trailers and those with lift gates, while maintaining effective light communication.
  • Dependability: The trailer's RIG is securely held by an angled, vertical barrier, with a single power unit for combined operation of the restraint and hydraulic leveler.
  • Maintenance-Free: The simple design includes switches that do not require adjustment for changing climatic conditions.
  • Security System Interface: Enhances facility security by notifying the building security system if the engaged restraint is tampered with.

Operation
The system is operated via a control panel inside the building. Once the truck is docked, the dock attendant engages the barrier, which provides a holding force exceeding 32,000 lbs. The barrier adjusts automatically with trailer float motion. An auto-refire technology ensures re-engagement if the hook is pushed down during operation.

Construction and Installation
  • Construction: Steel housing protects components from weather and debris, with zinc-plated parts and a yellow dichromate finish on the barrier.
  • Installation: Mounted to a steel plate with 8 anchor bolts, requiring no dock leveler modification. The mounting force exceeds 70,000 lbs.

Electrical/Controls
The control panel is NEMA 4X rated, containing solid-state components and requiring a 110/115 volt power source. It includes interlocks and interconnects for customized operation sequences.

Rite-Vu Hazard Recognition and Control
  • Pedestrian-Vu: Detects activity inside the trailer, preventing disengagement if unsecured.
  • Corner-Vu: Provides immediate Dok-Lok status to forklift drivers.
  • Leveler-Vu: Confirms Dok-Lok status inside the trailer.
  • Communication Systems: Flashing lights and signs for truck drivers and dock attendants indicate safe operation times.
  • Audible Alarm: Signals improper RIG engagement, with an override option.

Warranty
One-year warranty on all parts and labor from the date of shipment, subject to standard liability limitations.

Compliance
Complies with ANSI MH30.3 standards.
