Product catalog summary
Belleville Spring Torque Limiters RT Overview
The document provides a detailed overview of Belleville Spring Torque Limiters, focusing on their principle, advantages, function, and technical specifications.

The Belleville Spring Principle
Belleville springs are used to produce contact force on friction linings. Due to their steep characteristic, the spring preload must be readjusted as the friction linings wear. These torque limiters are ideal for applications with short and infrequent slipping periods.

Advantages
  • Cost-effective and simple design.
  • Adjustment option for pad wear.
  • Available in 12 sizes, accommodating slipping torques from 0.5 Nm to 10,000 Nm.

Function
  • When the preset slipping torque is reached, the built-in component slips.
  • During slipping, input and output rotate relative to each other, maintaining the preset slipping torque.
  • The slipping process involves high energy consumption, and re-engagement is not necessary.

Technical Data and Dimensions
The document includes a comprehensive table listing various models of torque limiters, their article numbers, slipping torque ranges, maximum speeds, and dimensions. Key specifications include:
  • Slipping torque ranges from 0.5 Nm to 10,000 Nm.
  • Maximum speeds vary from 180 min-1 to 1,500 min-1.
  • Dimensions and tolerances are specified according to DIN standards.

Supply and Accessories
  • Torque limiters are supplied with a pilot bore, plain bearing, and friction linings unless specified otherwise.
  • Available with chain wheel; specify type and diameter when ordering.

Belleville Spring Torque Limiters RT Advantages • Cost effective, simple Torque Limiter • Adjustment option for pad wear • 12 Sizes for slipping torques from 0,5 Nm to 10 000 Nm The Belleville Spring Principle Belleville springs produce the contact force on the friction linings. Because of the Belleville spring torque limiters’ steep characteristic of the contact force the spring preload needs to be readjusted when the friction linings become worn. Belleville spring Torque Limiters are therefore preferred in applications where slipping periods are short and infrequent. Function • When the preset slipping torque has been reached the built-in component (e. g. chain wheel) slips. • During the slipping process, input and output rotate relative to each other and the preset slipping torque continues to be transmitted. • Inherent in the slipping process is a high energy consumption. • Re-engagement is not n
