SEMI MANUAL VACUUM FORMING MACHINES 3020SM Semi Manual Vacuum Forming Machine Ridat Semi Manual (SM) range of vacuum forming machines is designed for general trade moulding, including blisters as well as small scale production and prototyping. The basic process involves heating a plastic sheet to requisite temperature to make it malleable. A mould is then raised to the film, and finally a vacuum is applied to draw the plastic material around the mould to assume its shape. Semi Manual (SM) Vacuum Forming Machine - The crucial heating cycle is automatic; mould table movement and material clamping is pneumatically powered. • Wide material range – PVC, HIPS, PP, Polycarbonate, PET, ABS of up to 4mm thick can be formed • Front mounted controls for ease of operation • Ceramic heaters with zone control for balanced heat • Material clamp with spring loaded hinge for easy handling • Sturdy drape table with smooth and easy movement • Sealed vacuum chamber for pre-stretch and greater material control • Vacuum reservoir and rotary pump for instant availability Cycle times – Many factors influence cycle time such as type, colour and thickness of material; shape of mould; operator skill and experience. Provision needs to be made for the operator functions including placement and removal of material. Account also needs to be taken for operator delay inherent in manual operation.
