SEMI AUTOMATIC VACUUM FORMING MACHINES 4030SA Semi-Automatic Vacuum Former Ridat’s Semi Automatic (SA) range of vacuum forming machines are designed for general trade moulding (and blister forming) and are ideally suited for production with consistent and repeating formings. The basic process involves heating a plastic sheet to requisite temperature to make it malleable. A mould is then raised to the film and finally a vacuum is applied to draw the heated plastic material around the mould to assume its shape. Process – the complete processing cycle (i.e. heat, bubble, table movement, vacuum, eject) is fully automatic and controlled by the microprocessor on the basis of timers set using a user friendly HMI operator interface panel. Cycle times – many factors influence cycle time – type, colour and thickness of material; shape of mould; operator skill and experience. Provision needs to be made for the operator functions including placement and removal of material. Safety – Ridat vacuum forming machines are produced to high safety standards and conform to the latest harmonised standards relating to the Machinery Directive, Low Voltage Directive and Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive. All machines are CE marked in accordance with current European legislation. Features For all sizes Wide material range – PVC, HIPS, PP, Polycarbonate, PET, ABS and of up to 4mm thick can be formed HMI Operator control pad for ease of operation Ceramic heaters with zone control for balanced heat Optionally, plug assistance (male mould) can be fitted Sealed vacuum chamber for pre-stretch and greater material control Vacuum reservoir and rotary vacuum pump for instant availability of vacuum Typical applications include: Blisters and clam shells Transit trays Toys & Cosmetic tray inserts General vacuum formed components Door skin panels & roof domes Display merchandise & POS stand Formings for medical applications
