The Midmatic Vacuum Former is a continuous running, multi-purpose machine designed for both blister forming and general trade moulding. It is ideally suited for short to medium throughput operation. As a refined version of the Semi Automatic Vacuum Forming machine it employs the same basic principles – a sheet of plastic is heated to the requisite temperature to make it malleable; a form is then raised to the film plane and a vacuum applied to draw the plastic material around the form to assume its shape. The operation is continuous and permits uninterrupted production with the minimum of operator supervision. The Midmatic Vacuum Former – in wide use throughout the world – is fully programmed to ensure constant, repeatable results with low reject rates. The Midmatic Vacuum Forming Machine is a reel fed thermoformer combing proven and reliable characteristics of previous models, updated to current day by the use of PLC with user friendly HMI operator panel to set the various processing timers and zones. Furthermore it provides flexibility of operation and quick changeover with low tooling costs. Cycle times – many factors influence cycle time – type, colour and thickness of material; shape of mould; operator skill and experience.
