Il Carter esterno è in lamiera ALUSI o in acciaio inox. Sono adatti a temperature di funzionamento fino a 600°C e supportano carichi specifici fino a 8 W/cm2. Al fine di limitare la temperatura del carter esterno e di orientare il flusso termico verso la superficie da scaldare, la fascia è schermata con uno spessore isolante in fibra ceramica. In order to reduce the temperature of the external case and to direct the thermal flow towards the application surface, the band heater is shielded on the outside with a ceramic insulator.
