Face grinding expressly desired. New extra-thin XT35Cross cutting disc With the XT35 Cross, Rhodius Schleifwerkzeuge GmbH & Co. KG for the first time presents a combination cutting and grinding disc that is only 1.9 millimetres thick. Approved according to EN 12413. Cutting and grinding this work is often associated with a time-consuming change of angle grinders or complicated conversion of the tool. And all of this when the user prefers the advantages of an extra thin cutting disc for cutting. Because up to now there has been no combination disc thinner than 2.5 mm that allows both cutting and face grinding. This has now changed with the new, extra thin XT35 Cross combination disc from Rhodius. It offers tested safety, clean working and high efficiency. A neutral test centre has confirmed that the XT35 Cross meets the limits for lateral load of 290 N as specified in EN12413. These limits have as yet only been fulfilled by grinding/roughing wheels at least 4 mm wide. The innovative manufacturing process and an additional reinforcement make the disc much more stable so that it can be used not only for cutting but also light grinding work such as chamfering and burr removing - with no loss of user safety. The low thickness hereby allows pleasantly fast and easy cutting. The disc also has a very good lifetime. Low development of burrs, minimum flying sparks, a cool cut and low development of odour are further valuable product features/benefits of the Rhodius XT35 Cross that now combines extra-thin cutting with powerful grinding. The iron and sulphur-free disc is thus suitable for processing both thin-walled pipes and profiles, steel sheets, though also flat iron and solid material. The fields of use range from the sanitary trade, tank and car-body construction through to structural engineering and ship-building. The costs savings that are possible with the XT35 Cross really pay off in alternate use. Because doing away with constant changes and conversions accelerates the work and reduces tool costs.
