Introduction
High noise levels in work environments are a growing concern. Republic's new discharge blower silencer is designed to significantly reduce blower noise, primarily transmitted through flex hoses or system piping. While it reduces external blower noise and protects the blower, it does not affect noise from the discharge air stream.

Specifications
The blower silencer is constructed from all-aluminum with a polyurethane epoxy paint finish. It features internal silencing foam made of melamine, capable of withstanding discharge temperatures up to 350° Fahrenheit, which is double the highest discharge temperature under normal conditions.

Blower Motor Enclosures: Available in low and high profile, constructed from aluminum or stainless steel, with various part numbers for different models and horsepower capacities.
Discharge Silencers: Available in sizes ranging from 2” to 6”, each with specific part numbers.

Noise Control Data
Sound ratings indicate a reduction in noise levels when using silencers and enclosures:

RB 500: Without silencer - 82 dB (no enclosure), 75 dB (with enclosure); With silencer - 78 dB (no enclosure), 71 dB (with enclosure).
RB800/1200HC/2400: Without silencer - 92-96 dB (no enclosure), 80-82 dB (with enclosure); With silencer - 88-90 dB (no enclosure), 74-78 dB (with enclosure).

Repubic's new discharge blower silencer will significantly reduce the blowers noise. Much of the noise is transmitted through the flex hose or system piping.
