Considerations for building a modular fixturing system There are several items to consider when specifying a full modular fixturing system: Size and number of workpieces that require inspection he size of the workpiece will determine which thread size (M4, M6, M8 or 1/4-20) to use. Renishaw offers a standard range of metrology tables, which are made to be transportable with locking wheels. Metrology tables are compatible with portable CMMs, scanning systems and articulating arms. Every table comes complete with our precision machined base plates for easy mounting of fixturing components and workpieces. The standard range is shown below. In addition, bespoke tables are available with customised: length, width, height, hole pattern arrangements, shelving, drawers or black anodized plates (for light sensing applications).
