HIGH-CAPACITY SCREENS SUBVERTICAL BRUSH SCREEN RSB Rotary Drum Screen for separating solids/liquids MACHINE DESCRIPTION This model of screen can lift and remove a considerable quantity of materials that are difficult to extract with other types of screens for in-channel installations. The equipment is installed directly in the channel in contact with the bottom and with the side walls. The screening area of the unit, made in stainless steel, represents the 30% of the unit design. This area is kept cleaned from screened materials, by the constant rotation of 2 linear brushes capable of removing the captured particles conveying them toward the outlet. The cleaning system is operated by 2 roller chains driven by a single gear motor. Alternatively the screen may be simply controlled by a timer based on a duty/stand-by cycle. The set-up of the timer depends on the working conditions and flow. In both cases we advice to have the chain to run for 2 complete turns before stopping. The unit is self-cleaning even if it’s supplied with a washing system device for a periodical cycle of washing to avoid any crust or sedimentation on the screening area. This unit is mostly indicated for: - screening of foliage - screening of sludge WORKING LOGIC FOR SUBVERTICAL BRUSH SCREEN RSB The brush screen is a machine based on the so-called “plugging” working principle, that means that a filtering element is fitted on the unit. The filter captures the suspended particles in the effluent with a considerable quantity of screened materials extraction thanks to a substantial open area for the effluent flow. Whenever the open area is reduced by such amount that the head loss induced reaches a preset value, the cleaning system is activated. MAIN FEATURES FOR THE BRUSH SCREEN RSB RSB brush screens have the following characteristics: 1. Standard execution in st. st. AISI 304/AISI 316. 2. No mechanical parts in direct contact to conveyed products. 3. Low speed - No blocking or clogging even when extracting fibrous material. 4. Completely sealed unit outside of the channel for leakage and odour-free environments. 5. Possibility to discharge in dumpsters or other equipment. 6. Extremely easy to transport materials even of difficult composition. 7. Maximum versatility, high processing outputs. 8. Chain entirely made of stainless steel. GENERAL DIMENSION DATA FOR BRUSH SCREENS RSB Here we provide some information of a technical nature for this type of screens: - Filtration with screens of size ranges from 250 microns (wedge wire) to 12 mm (perforated). - Models suitable for channels from 300 to 2000 mm wide. - Removal and conveying of screenings to the discharge point with a single drive. - Volume reduction of screenings up to 50%. - Effective drainage of the screenings along the filtering section. - Washing of screenings performed by the REMSPRAY integrated system.
