Product Overview: The Reliance Cool Muscle Motor with CANopen interface is a factory-fitted module available for NEMA sizes 17 and 23 motors. It adheres to the CiA 301 communication profile and CiA 402 device profile, supporting Profiled Position and Homing drive modes, with Interpolated Positioning mode in preparation.

Connector Variants: The CANopen interface is available in three variants:

• 2 connector: CAN communications power, access to Input 2 and Output 2
• 3N connector: Second CAN network port, power, access to Input 2 and Output 2
• 3D connector: CAN communications, power, access to all Cool Muscle I/O

Technical Specifications:

• Pulse Interface: Maximum frequency of 500 Kpps, minimum pulse width of 0.8µsec, voltage levels for high and low signals specified.
• Variable Voltage Interface: Integrated into the C-Type motor, allows speed and position control through voltage adjustments.
• Input/Output Signal: Configurable I/Os for digital, analogue, serial, or pulse counter functions.

Advanced Motion Features: The RCM supports advanced motion features such as PTP motion with varied accelerations and torque control, and a push mode for electric emulation of pneumatic operations.

Networking and Control: RCMs can be networked in a daisy chain style, allowing for coordinated motion and control without the need for a PC, PLC, or HMI. The RT3 Real Time Interface supports coordinated motion and embedded PLC logic banks.

Programmable I/Os: The RCM allows for multiple functions to be assigned to its I/Os, supporting a range of input and output functions such as origin search, motor enable, and alarm signaling.
