Terrace and Balcony SurfacingThe System Variants With keraflex®, BSW has developed a modular paving system that makes it much easier to refurbish balconies. keraflex® offers two different system variants: keraflex® MC and keraflex® EL. All systems can be quickly laid on the old, damaged surface once the balcony has been suitably prepared/sealed. This avoids cost-intensive procedures and minimises the time involved in refurbishment. Furthermore, there is a wide range of colours available for designing your terrace or balcony. keraflex® EL Balcony and Terrace Tile is made of synthetic rubber...

Terrace and Balcony Surfacing The System Structure keraflex® EL and keraflex® MC Balcony and Terrace Tiles are made of natural and synthetic rubber (EPDM). They are uniquely pleasant to walk on. The tiles are as soft as a forest floor, each step sinking in slightly. Just go barefoot on keraflex® EL and relax. The material is pleasantly footwarm. The tiles are permeable to water thus the surface dries quickly after a downpour. In addition, the wear layer possesses outstanding slip-resistant properties. Individual Tile Size 1,000 x 500 x 30 mm per tile, dummy joint in the centre of the tile...

Terrace and Balcony Surfacing Installation Instructions Connecting the Tiles to Each Other keraflex® EL and MC Balcony and Terrace Tiles can be joined to one another by means of dowels, and glued if required. In the majority of cases dowels will be sufficient, reducing the time needed for installation. The tiles must be glued one by one to the bound sub-base. This prevents deliberate levering out and displacement of the tiles. Laying the Tiles You should begin laying the tiles in the corner bordered by the house wall. First lay a row of tiles from this corner to the opposite end, connecting...

Gluing to a Bound Sub-Base The adhesive required for gluing the tiles to a bound sub-base is available at BSW. It is a two-component PU adhesive. Terrace and Balcony Surfacing Cleaning Recommendations Removal of Normal Soiling Removal of Algae and Moss Slightly soiled surfaces can be cleaned initially with a broom.
