Disassemble screws at the bottom plate, and insert 3 AAA batteries, then please make sure semi circle groove on the bottom plate should not be perpendicular with power switch in black circle to avoid damage also please confirm inside wiring should not be stuck by bottom plate during assembly of bottom plate. 2. When tester is not used, please make sure to push power switch in black circle for 3 center LEDs to turn off 3. In standby condition, 3 center LEDs will shine. 4. There are contacts at the bottom of tester, please place tester on side and slighly push tester against a glass. 5. If all LEDs shine except for 3 center LEDs and make a beep sound, tested side has a conductive side.
