This device, together with 6 temperature sensors (PTC 100 & PTC 120), allows continuous monitoring of motor temperature during compressor operation. In case of motor over-temperature the compressor is automatically switched off. The possibility of re-starting (manual reset required) is allowed by the protection module only after the motor has cooled down.
